Marie was the only child of Dora Shepard Street, was raised in Buladean, NC, and moved to Maryland where she married and had her 8 children. In 1960 she moved to Florida where she soon learned about Jehovah and His kingdom. On March 20, 1969 she was baptized along with 2 of her children. This was a very special day in her life. In time she had the joy of seeing 4 more of her children and a number of her grandchildren become part of her spiritual family.
Marie enjoyed sewing, decorating and especially gardening. She served Jehovah for 48+ years, pioneering for many of those years as this was her greatest joy.
She was a devoted wife, a loving and caring mother and a very special Grandmother (Honey) with a great sense of humor, a warm smile, and a gentle touch. Her open arms and caring heart made her a beautiful person inside and out. She was the matriarch to her family and of so many more. We all looked to her with deep affection, love and respect. She will be greatly missed.
