Ralph O. McMahan

Ralph O. McMahan, 85, of Asheville, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017. Ralph was born August 6, 1932 in Yancey County to the late Lowey and Sally McMahan. He served in the US Army and worked at the Pentagon, driving a limo for former presidents and military staff. He retired from Square D. Company as an Engineer. Ralph was a loving husband, father, brother and friend, who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Penland; and brother, Britten McMahan.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marlene Deyton McMahan; sons, Randall McMahan and Michael McMahan; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service to be held at 2 PM. Wednesday October 11, 2017 in Swannanoa Free Will Baptist Church.  Rev. Jack Ward and Rev. Bobby Shehan will officiate.  Burial will be in Eddie McMahan Cemetery at Low Gap in Burnsville.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm, Wednesday, prior to the service at the church.
