Delia Silvers Morrow, 91, of Silvers Gap Road in Burnsville, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Mission Hospitals Memorial Campus. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Bradley and Annie Ammons Silvers. Delia was the wife of Clarence Morrow who passed away in 2009. She was also preceded in death by a grandson in 2006; sister: Belle Wheeler; sister-in-law: Pansy Silvers; brothers: Ernest, Mitchell, Gerald, Burnice and Keith Silvers; and, by 2 infant sisters.
Surviving are her children: J. C. Morrow and Sarah Ellen Morrow both of the home; Deanna Robinson and husband, Dean, of Burnsville, Theodore Morrow and wife, Janet, of Unicoi, TN, Shirley Guinn and husband, Martin, of Jacks Creek, and Donna Adkins and husband, Doyle, of Bee Log; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; and her very special baby sister: Eva Ann Wilber and husband, Jim, of South Carolina.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Clarence Morrow Family Cemetery on Silvers Gap Road.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
