Kenneth Jerry Hall, 75, of Millers Creek, died Friday, August 10, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of Edna Sparks Hall of Elkin and the late Terry Hall. He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Pamela Hall; and, a son: David Hall.
He was a US Army Veteran and a member of West Elkin Baptist Church. Kenny was an All-Star football player for Cane River High School, an avid golfer and played golf frequently for charity. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and hunting and received a bronze plaque of achievement for Hunters Helping Kids. He also coached Little League and basketball at the YMCA.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his wife: Melissa June Bumgarner Hall of the home; two sons: Johnny Daniel Hall of Burnsville and Michael Jason Hall and wife, Amy, of New York; a grandson: Harrison; a brother: Johnny Hall and wife, Lisa, of Burnsville; and, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3PM Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in the Chapel of Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home in North Wilkesboro. Pastors Tony McCann and Dwayne Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in the Arbor Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with military graverites.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8PM Monday at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home, where his body will remain until taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior to the service.
